Brian Livingston has years of successful experience as a senior executive, small business owner and as a community leader giving him a diversified background to draw on when elected to Frisco City Council. He has always utilized common sense and a dedication to teamwork in business and will continue to use that for his vision for Frisco’s bright future.
Brian’s professional career started with 11 years in the banking industry where he reached senior management serving as Market President before moving on to his next challenge. After banking, he used his financial and strategic planning background to become the Chief Financial Officer of Firebird Restaurant Group, the parent company of El Fenix Mexican Restaurants, Snuffer’s and Meso Maya. During the same time Brian was the President and/or CFO of several other entities related to Firebird Restaurant Group’s ownership. Overall, he was responsible for a budget in excess of $100 million and assets of over $125 million.
After his time with Firebird Restaurant Group, Brian and his wife, Brittany, ventured out on their own and are currently the sole owners of the 6 unit Celebrity Café & Bakery brand, as well as the Texadelphia Frisco and Texadelphia Plano restaurants. They also own Strivant Health, a medical billing and collections firm, based in Dallas, TX where Brian is the Chairman of the board. As small business owners, Brian and Brittany Livingston have saved or created more than 125 jobs during the last 2 years. Brian was recently named the 2016 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
In 2013, Brian was honored as one of the Dallas Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Young Business Leaders and in 2012 he was a finalist in DCEO Magazine’s “Financial Executives of the Year Award”. Brian is currently the Vice Chairman of the Frisco Board of Adjustment/Construction Board of Appeals and is honored to have served as a board member on the Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau board.
Brian has been passionate about working with smaller and local charities to help them achieve their goals and improve the lives of others. He has been an advocate and fundraiser for pancreatic cancer research since his father lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2007. His work to fight pancreatic cancer includes helping found the annual PurpleStride DFW event that has raised millions of dollars to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer. Brian lost his mother, Diane Livingston, to kidney cancer in September 2016 after an 8 year battle and is looking forward to continuing and increasing his fundraising efforts to defeat cancer.
Through their businesses, Brian and Brittany support local Frisco charities including Frisco Family Services, Frisco Fast Pacs, Frisco Moms, Junior League of Collin County, Boys & Girls Club of Collin County, Americas Defenders, Frisco Education Foundation, Carroll Elementary and several others.
Brian and Brittany Livingston and their two daughters, have lived in Frisco for 7 years residing in the Heather Ridge Estates subdivision in Frisco. The Livingstons are active in the Carroll Elementary PTA, Watch D.O.G.S., Grace Avenue United Methodist Church and the Denton County GOP. Brittany is the Girl Scout Leader for both of her daughters serving Brownie Troop #7471 and Daisy Troop #7508 .
Brian graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and dual graduate degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accounting.
